At Vilnius Tech Gravity Career Day, students were amazed by the abundance of professions at Vilnius Bread
During the day, hundreds of pupils, students and teachers visited our stand. They learned about career and internship opportunities and were surprised that there is such a variety of careers in the bakery company – as many as 65 professions.
Participants interested in careers were welcomed by our colleagues HR Manager for Lithuania and Latvia Jūratė Kudabaitė-Staškevičienė, Organization Development Specialist Jurga Staniukėnienė, Talent Selection Specialist Rasa Pustovalova and Technical Maintenance Manager of Vilnius Bakery Andrius Paužas.
We sought to attract representatives of engineering and mechanical studies
"There were a lot of visitors this year. There were also technical specialties, they asked for internship opportunities and were somewhat surprised that Vilniaus Duona has something to offer to young people in engineering and technical studies. These are also the positions of engineers, technical mechanics, automation engineers, and equipment adjusters," Jurga shared. Andrius, who participated in the event, was also able to tell about these positions in detail, who supervises most of the works and colleagues related to various engineering and mechanical projects.
Visitors could also see the abundance of professions from the video shown on the stand.
Young people are very welcome
According to Jūratė, the participants were curious and asked a lot of questions.
"There are always opportunities for both young and older people. Young people often learn quickly, adapt, and are not afraid of challenges – the lack of experience is offset by energy and motivation. We notice that young people come to us more often in the summer or when looking for their first job after school, as well as when looking for a temporary source of income. There are many and varied career opportunities with us – you need a little patience and effort, curiosity to learn, initiative and everything is achievable," says Jūratė.
Visited by 9th grade to final year students
"Students of creative industries were also interested and asked about internship opportunities. Students in this field do internships in our marketing department," said Jurga. To register for an internship or check relevant career offers , visitors could easily scan our QR code.
Rasa noticed that a significant part of the participants were also students from abroad, including Ukraine, Africa, India, and Belarus.
Health-friendly bread for gifts
"The event was attended by students from the 9th grade to the final year. Groups of students were accompanied to the career day by their career specialists. This year, we noticed that there were significantly more visitors than last year. We also felt this from the distribution of gifts: we distributed about three and a half hundred bread baskets long before the end of the event. As we joked, someone will be interested in the possibilities of joining the VD team, and someone may just discover us as a buyer who has tasted our delicious breads," said Rasa.
Our bread products that are beneficial to a healthy diet such as Agotos whole grain, Toste protein and other rich fiber and protein breads were waiting for the participants.
In total, about 100 companies participated in the Vilnius TECH Gravity 2025 Career Day and about 10 thousand people visited. visitors.
