Vilniaus Duona is the leader in the TOP10 of the strongest Lithuanian food industry companies and the bread sector
Analysts of "Verslo žinios" have published the ranking of the leaders of the food industry sector for 2025. For the second year in a row, Vilniaus Duona remains in the top ten strongest companies in the Lithuanian food industry.
This year's list of leaders is dominated by milk processing companies – as many as seven out of ten. Of the bread sector, Vilniaus Duona is the only one in the top ten.

"This is an appreciation for our entire team – colleagues who take care every day that Lithuanian bread maintains the highest quality and traditions are in harmony with modern consumer needs. We feel a great responsibility to provide bread to almost 40 percent of the Lithuanian market. We are proud that we bake all the bread in our two bakeries in Vilnius and Panevėžys only from grain grown in Lithuania and ground right here, and we provide work in these regions to almost 400 people," says Artūras Kokoškinas, the head of Vilniaus Duona.

Evaluation criteria
According to "Verslo žinios", food industry companies were evaluated according to eleven criteria – from income growth, profitability and employee remuneration ratio to reputation and attention indicators of VŽ readers. The ranking includes companies from the TOP 1000 list of companies compiled by VŽ.
