May 26 NATION Day – let's join the initiative
On Monday, May 26, we invite you to make it extraordinary: dress up in Baltic, national or ethnic clothes. Nurture your roots and what is ours.
The initiative is being developed by Vilniaus Duona together with partners.
Because we are alive as long as we have ours. This is also the motto of our initiative.
A fresh idea, recently born to our communication partner and ethnoculture lover Gitana Baliutavičienė, has already gathered a group of partners and supporters:
Its meaning is seen by:
– LRT, who have become an information sponsor;
– Vilnius Ethnic Culture Centre, which patronizes the initiative and provides consultations;
– Cinema Skalvija, which gives three screenings of free Lithuanian cinema to all those dressed in Baltic or national clothes that day;
– "Vita Antiqua" with Dr. Daiva Steponavičienė at the forefront, consulting and contributing prize
– Agency "Be Ledo", takes care of creativity;
– Sway, helps to engage influencers.
– Beata Nicholson, Indrė Kavaliauskaitė, Dovilė Filmanavičiūtė expressed support for the initiative.
We are creating this idea in Lithuania and we invite everyone to contribute with their participation. We hope that it will become annual.
On May 26, we invite you to celebrate this day at workplaces:
Dress up in Baltic, national or ethnic clothing
Listen to authentic Lithuanian folk songs or sutartinės
To taste feasts that exude authenticity and our Lithuanian heritage.

And after work on 05.26, 19.30, we invite you to a film screening in Skalvia – for those wearing Baltic, national or ethnic clothes, the screenings are FREE!
Giedrė Beinoriūtė's "Sacrum and Profanum in the Pievėnai" will be shown.
