Vilnius Bread Lithuanian Kindergarten Championship has started – we are a general partner for the third year

Together with spring, the "Vilnius Bread Lithuanian Kindergarten Championship" traditionally begins. This year , the championship will take place from March to April

The first rounds will take place in Vilnius on March 2-3, and the grand final at the Jeep Arena is scheduled for April 14.

The Vilnius Bread Lithuanian Kindergarten Championship welcomes not only participants, but also the biggest fans of basketball players – their parents and family members. Spectators will be able to watch the battles of the entire championship comfortably seated in the stands of the arena. Admission is free.

The organizers especially welcome and encourage: good mood, positivity, supportive posters, respect for referees, coaches, rival teams and fans.

The main rules of the 2×2 match: 5 halves of 2 minutes each. There must be at least one girl in the team who must play at least 1 half during the match. Otherwise, the team participates in the championship as guests and does not claim prize places. Since the basic basketball skills of kindergarten children have not yet been formed, the referees look at the two-step rules more leniently (it remains in force).

Although the main goal of the championship is to promote a healthy lifestyle, the first participants of the championship can already boast of various achievements in the Schoolchildren's Basketball League (MKL) and invitations to represent Lithuania in the European and World Championships.

The Lithuanian Kindergarten Championship together with the Lithuanian Basketball Federation was organized for the first time exactly ten years ago – in 2014.

In 2020 and 2021, the championship did not take place due to the Covid pandemic, and after the end of the restrictions, for the third year in a row, Vilniaus Duona is the partner of the general championship.

March 23 2×2 Seniors 2×2 Consolation Cup. The event starts at 11:30 a.m. Pilaitė Gymnasium (Tolminkiemio St. 2D)

March 24 2×2 Senior Top 24. The event starts at 11:00 a.m. Pilaitė Gymnasium (Tolminkiemio St. 2D)

April 14 Grand Final, Jeep Arena (Ozo St. 14). The specific time will be specified.
