Demand planner Artiom Bučinskas: here we both argue and rejoice in victories
What does working at Vilniaus Duona look like for new colleagues? We interviewed our demand planner Artiom Bučinskas about our impressions of the first year working at Vilniaus Duona. He joined nine months ago and is well integrated into the team.
Artiom has been eating the products of "Vilniaus duona" since childhood. According to him, he applied for our company partly because bread as a product is associated with warmth and good emotions for him. He says the same about the colleagues he works with.
Artiom notes that teamwork and cooperation in achieving common goals are highly valued at Vilniaus Duona.
"I was most impressed by the open communication and support of the manager Artūras Kokoškinas and the entire commercial team, which is extremely important when starting a new job," Artiom recalled his first impressions.
The first months at Vilniaus Duona were very interesting for Artiomas, he had to learn a lot – to understand the company's culture, to assimilate and get to know many products and processes. Changes and volatility in the food market pose many challenges in demand planning, requiring rapid adaptation to new circumstances.
I had to learn how to use demand planning and analysis programs that were unknown to Artyom until now. At the same time, it was possible to strengthen cooperation between different teams, which further improved the quality of forecasts.
Artyom likes to see how the team solves challenges together at work.
"It happens that we actively argue, discuss; It happens that we applaud each other and congratulate each other on victories. All this indicates healthy communication and team strength.
It is very motivating when you can learn and improve at work. Unexpectedly, I got the opportunity to master the AI tool while participating in the AI Hackathon at Lantmännen Unibake, the parent company in Copenhagen," he shared his development experience with Artiom.
By the way, you can listen to one piece of Artyom and artificial intelligence, a song created for the company's internal event, here.
"It feels like you're working for a company that is constantly innovating to better meet customer needs and remain competitive. At the same time, we take care of the principles of sustainability, in addition to the economic one, we are constantly thinking about the social and environmental impact," says Artiom.
