It happens that the declared values do not exist in companies, they remain only declarations. And what about Vilnius bread? Our Business Controller Modestas Urbonas, who joined our management team 4 months ago, shares about the organizational culture and his experience after getting a job at Vilnius Bread. "I grew up consuming Vilnius bread products, I appreciate their quality, I believe in the success of these products, so I wanted to contribute to the success of the company. My personal values are in line with the strategic commitments of Vilnius Bread and the entire Lantmännen Unibake Group – to strive for sustainability and produce healthier bread products," Modestas shared his reasons for his candidacy at Vilnius Bread.

When starting work, the company's internal culture immediately notices direct cooperation, teamwork and open communication between colleagues. Such an environment allows you to quickly join the team and start work successfully. "In the first month, I was prepared with a detailed plan for the presentation of the company's activities. I met colleagues from Lithuania and other countries from different divisions of the group companies. I was organized visits to bakeries, where I got acquainted with the production and logistics processes. My direct supervisor prepared a detailed list of tasks and spent a lot of time introducing specific tasks, which made it much easier to get started. For a successful start, it was important to understand the main expectations, problems, goals and working model with the main internal partners. During the first months of work, I had a lot of pleasant moments and fun joint work trips with my team, which contributed to building and strengthening relationships with colleagues," said Modestas.

"Although Vilnius Bread has historically been operating in Lithuania for more than 140 years, this business is still quite dynamic. It is an innovative company of Scandinavian culture, where the contribution of each employee to achieving the common goals of the company is valued. The company pays a lot of attention to the development and growth of employees, enables employees to share ideas, make decisions and make a significant contribution to daily activities and the implementation of new projects using their skills, experience and knowledge," says Modestas.
