The TAUTAdienis initiative, which is taking place for the second year, to the origins and initiators of which we contribute, encourages people to dress up in national costume for important occasions in life and to cherish their identity. We also celebrated in our office.

Here's a natural, LinkedIn-style English translation that preserves the warm and authentic tone rather than sounding like a literal translation:

For the second year in a row, we proudly supported TAUTAdienis (National Day) – an initiative we helped establish to encourage people to wear Lithuania's national costume on life's most meaningful occasions. Throughout Lithuania, the day was marked by events, community gatherings, and conversations celebrating our traditional attire and cultural heritage.

"We bake Lithuanian bread, so preserving what is truly ours – our traditions and heritage – is deeply connected to our company's values. That's why we are delighted to support the TAUTAdienis initiative for the second consecutive year. We hope the national costume becomes a living tradition and a cherished choice for modern Lithuanians on special occasions," said Artūras Kokoškinas, CEO of Vilniaus duona.

Our colleagues joined not only as partners of the initiative but also as enthusiastic participants. Dressed in national costumes, we gathered for a festive lunch, enjoyed delicious potato pudding (kugelis), traditional šakotis cake, and even sang a Lithuanian sutartinė together.

"Our national costumes are truly beautiful. When I wore one for the first time last year, I even caught myself thinking that I'd love to have one in my own wardrobe," shared Aurelija Pocienė, Marketing Manager at Vilniaus duona, who wore a traditional costume from the Aukštaitija region.

The celebration was coordinated by Jolita Ažusienė, proudly wearing the traditional costume of her native Suvalkija region. And the delicious homemade kugelis that everyone enjoyedtwo full trays of it!was baked by our colleague Jurgita Rašytinienė. (We even debated which tray tasted better! )

The first 100 organisations to register for TAUTAdienis were treated to our Močiutės bread, and we received plenty of wonderful feedback about its aroma and taste. 😋

This year, more than 150 companies, communities and organisations joined TAUTAdienis, together with Lithuanians living abroad in 7 countries and participants from 30 Lithuanian cities and towns.

We look forward to welcoming even more participants next year!
