Many not only achieved but even exceeded their target of 300 thousand. steps per month," shared Jurga Staniukėnienė, the organizational development specialist who oversaw the initiative.

According to her, even such simple, playful challenges encourage taking steps every day.

"We also recalled Vaida Kurpienė's recent advice on what helps you move more during work: pouring yourself a glass (rather than a whole water bottle) more often, putting a trash bin in the next room, and walking a circle around the office every half hour. It's not just steps – it helps you concentrate better, the work gets done faster, and you yourself feel better," Jurga reminded.

The most active teams

The first place was won by the Vilnius bakery team, which collected more than 9 million steps. The team's monthly average was 302 thousand steps per participant, with as many as 30 out of 32 team members actively engaged.

Such initiatives subtly encourage reflection on how much we move daily and motivate us to move more. We hope that the habit of walking more will remain even after the challenge ends," says Jurga.
