For 10 years now, Vilniaus Duona has been an integral part of the Panevėžys City Festival. Not only sponsors, but also big fans of the holiday, which has a long-standing tradition. This year the city celebrates its 521st anniversary. This time, as if in the old kermošiai, the eye of passers-by was attracted from afar by the footmen carrying our gifts.

For three days, the city hosts a rich program and engaging events. You can read about them in detail here. And here you can see the video moments.

As Vilma Šimienė, Head of Customer Service at Vilniaus Duona, says, participation in the Panevėžys City Festival is important to us not only as a business, but also as members of this community.

"One of the two Vilniaus Duona bakeries operates in Panevėžys, more than half of all our colleagues work here, almost 200, we live here, our children are studying, so we want to contribute to the community," says Vilma.

According to her, we also receive warm feedback from the organizers that the participants are happy with the bread gifts.

"A lot of participants are from folklore collectives, so symbolically they share Lithuanian bread during breaks and feast together, after all, bread is our self and an integral part of the holidays. They taste both authentic recipes and our more modern baked goods."

Panevėžys bakery employs almost 200 employees and is one of the longest-operating bakeries in Lithuania.

Four production lines bake such breads as "Močiutė", "Agotos", "Rugelis" and many others, which are popular with Lithuanians.

Both of our bakeries bake all their bread from Lithuanian flour and grain grown in Lithuania.
