Tomato and garlic bruschetta
4 slices of TURTINGA wheat bread
olive oil
1 garlic clove
Tomato salsa:
1 can of crushed tomatoes 400/240g
1 big tomato
1 small onion
bunch of fresh basil
½ tsp sugar
½ tsp salt
½ tsp freshly ground black pepper
Prepare the tomato salsa. Drain the liquid from the crushed tomato can. Dice the fresh tomato finely. Chop finely the onions and basil leaves. Mix all ingredients, add salt and pepper to taste. Toast sandwiches in the toaster, sprinkle with olive oil and rub garlic on surface. Serve toasted breads with tomato salsa.
